Bad Bunny is in the best moment of his career, and it seems that nothing will slow him down. This 2022 has been full of outstanding achievements for the Puerto Rican artist, and these are just some of the latest news and projects he has announced.
We haven’t even reached the halfway point of 2022, and already Bad Bunny has been trending worldwide more than once. His music career is increasingly successful, breaking records for being the most listened to artist on all platforms, winning prestigious awards like the Grammy, and venturing into the film industry.
Bad Bunny’s new album is coming this summer
In one of the most ingenious ways an artist has ever had to promote his work, Bad Bunny unveiled the news of his new album “Un Verano Sin Ti.”
It all started with an ad on a classifieds portal, in which Bad Bunny was supposedly selling his white 2019 Bugatti Chiron Sport 110 Anniversary. The ad was posted with real photos and under the Puerto Rican singer’s real name, Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, and a phone number. To the surprise of all those who dared to call, they heard a preview of one of his new songs and the name of his new album.
Although the message did not specify the date the album would be released, he assured that it would be soon. Undoubtedly a unique marketing strategy.
He will be joining the Marvel Universe
Benito will have his big-screen debut alongside Brad Pitt in the Sony Pictures movie Bullet Train, and Bad Bunny’s relationship with Sony will extend to the Marvel universe with a new Spider-Man movie.
During the opening night of CinemaCon, Sony Motion Pictures Group’s president Sanford Panitch announced that there would be a new Spider-Man movie, and it will hit theaters in January 2024. The Puerto Rican rapper was chosen to play the character of El Muerto, making him the first Latino to headline in a Marvel live-action movie.
According to Marvel’s official website, El Muerto, whose real name is Juan-Carlos Estrada Sanchez, is a masked wrestler who has inherited his powers from his ancestors through his mask and is considered an anti-hero.
Bad Bunny is now part of Madame Tussauds’ collection of wax figures
The multi-talented artist was honored with not one but two wax figures dressed in two of the most iconic outfits of his career at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. In one of the two figures, the artist is seen wearing the famous silver outfit for the 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Show when he was sharing the stage with Latin America’s biggest names: Jennifer Lopez, J Balvin, and Shakira.
The second figure of the artist wore the all-black outfit that the artist used for his WWE Royal Rumble 2022 performance and in one of his music videos. The wax figure with the silver outfit will remain in New York, and the second figure with the black outfit will be sent to Madame Tussauds Orlando.
