Puerto Rican-Dominican producer and DJ Tainy just got himself a good deal after selling his pre-2021 music catalog and publishing rights to Influence Media (Influence Media Partners).

Influence Media is focused on investing in the rights to commercially successful songs, specifically the recording and publishing rights. This is what the company has done with Tainy’s catalog, acquiring it for about $25 million. However, the exact figure has not been released to the public.

The acquisition of these rights was negotiated by the producer and DJ’s representative, Lex Borrero, and his attorney, Jason Boyarski, of Boyarski Fritz LLP. Influence Media announced that it would create an alliance with accounts managed by Warner Music Group and BlackRock Alternative Investors to create a new music rights platform that manages and invests in the most influential creators in the music industry.
