One of the most important nights of music in the United States was held last Sunday, May 15. We are talking about the Billboard Music Awards, one of the ceremonies that puts the spotlight on the best artists of the moment.

Latinos, of course, took over the night.

The event began with a great display of celebrities wearing their best looks on the red carpet at the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Brazilian singer Anitta was one of the most eye-catching in a pink sequined gown made by Italian fashion house Versace in collaboration with Fendi.

American-Colombian singer Kali Uchis also shined on the red carpet in a custom knitted dress and accessories by Italian fashion house GCDS.

And singer Rauw Alejandro is not far behind. His look was on par with the awards, wearing an exclusive design by American-Mexican fashion designer Willy Chavarria.

You can see all the looks from the Billboard Music Awards red carpet here.

The ceremony was hosted by Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and was filled with performances from the biggest names in global music, such as Ed Sheeran and Travis Scott, but when it was the turn of the Latinos to perform, the stage was shaking with so much talent.

Singer Becky G’s performance was undoubtedly one of the most memorable, leaving attendees stunned with her incredible voice and great dancing skills.

Rauw Alejandro also took the stage at the billboard music awards and had the entire audience dancing along to ‘Museo’ and ‘Todo De Ti’, accompanied by sensual choreography.

Among the Latino artists who were crowned as winners during the ceremony, Karol G was one of the winners by taking the award in the category of ‘Top Latin Album’ with ‘KG0516’, thanks to its great success as the first album to be positioned in Billboard’s international charts.

Colombian American singer Kali Uchis also emerged as a winner, with not one but two awards. ‘Top Female Latin Artist’ and ‘Best Latin Song’ both went to the singer.

The awards for ‘Top Latin Artist’ and ‘Top Latin Male Artist’ went to Puerto Rican Bad Bunny, and the award for ‘Top Soundtrack’ went to the movie ‘Encanto.’

In other categories such as ‘Top Latin Tour’, Los Bukis won, and the award for ‘Top Latin Duo/Group’ went to Eslabon Armado. You can see the complete list of winners here.
