The awards season seems to go on and on, and Latinos continue to sweep all industries. This time, the Billboard Music Awards announced its list of nominees for the 29th edition of the ceremony, to be held in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Arena on Sunday, May 15.
And many super talented Latinos will be competing for the famous recognition.
The event will feature 62 categories across all genres of music, five of which were added this year based on social media platforms and global rankings. Among all these categories, seven are dedicated to the best Latin American talent, including Top Latin Album, Top Latin Tour, Top Latin Song, Top Latin Artist, Top Latin Male Artist, and Top Latin Female Artist.
The artists with the most nominations this year are The Weekend, sweeping 17 categories. Doja Cat is the female artist with the most nominations in 14 categories. The artist with the most awards in the history of the Billboard Awards, Canadian rapper Drake, who has a record of 29 awards, is nominated in 11 categories.
And among Latin artists, Bad Bunny leads the list with four nominations, followed by Kali Uchis, who also has four nominations. The movie ‘Encanto’ also appears among the list of nominees for Top Soundtrack. These are all the Latin artists nominated for the Billboard Music Awards:
