While wearing all-black is a classic fashion statement, there’s a spectrum of colors left to explore. Not only that, though, there’s an abundance of fashion trends each season that are ready to be discovered.

Now, the only fashionable knowledge that I personally have is  from watching “The Devil Wears Prada.” But that doesn’t mean that I am blind to trends. Trends are hard to miss, especially after seeing the same type of garments at the mall or on fast-fashion sites like Shein or Nasty Gal. But who predicts these trends, anyway?

Of course, it’s those who are dedicated to the fashion world. Let’s take a look at five acclaimed fashion websites to see what they’re predicting for the next few months. Why not give it a shot?

P.S. Don’t worry – fashion isn’t synonymous with high prices!

‘Marie Claire’ Says Yellow

The French-British monthly fashion magazine predicts: “Brighten your day with a mood-boosting yellow hue. Start with a slinky dress or go all out in a monochromatic look, à la Jil Sander’s button-down top with trousers. If complete saturation is not your forte, use the bold color as a jumping-off point. It’s the perfect accompaniment for slightly muted tones like earthy taupes and pastels like lilac.”

‘Elle’ Says Shorts Sets

The global women’s lifestyle magazine describes this trend as: “The shorts set—the vacation-ready cousin of the primmer shorts suit—has run riot on all of our feeds. Its billowing shape contrasts with the body-con mania that’s dominated most of the past few seasons. Instead, it’s loose, tomboyish, and insouciantly sexy—a cool-girl uniform in a sea of try-hards.”

‘InStyle’ Says Platform Heels

The American monthly women’s fashion magazine predicts: “Trends from the Y2K era have had quite the resurgence over the past few years, but according to celebrity stylist Cindy Conroy, summer 2022 will be all about those platform heels.”

‘Nylon’ Says Halter Dresses

The American multimedia brand predicts: “A classic style but still a nostalgic staple, the halter dress is a must-have this summer. These statement dresses are light, effortless, and sexy in slinky silhouettes and easy materials. Internal Paris Hilton loading.”

‘Byrdie’ Says Crochet & Netting Clothing

The “shoppable online and mobile content platform focused on all things beauty” predicts: “Crochet and netting are to summer what velvet and sequins are to winter—necessary. These warm-weather fabrics feel so appropriate for the season, and thankfully, countless designers incorporated them into their collections for the months ahead.”
