The midterm elections are here — and there’s a lot at stake. We hope you’ve been reading and researching how to make your ballot mirror your valuable voice. Trust us when we say that your voice needs to be heard!
Bueno, we all know voting is important. But did you know that it also has its perks?
Depending on your location, you can get a free donut, beer, or pancake, and that’s just the surface of it. Dig deeper into your local (and not-so-local) shops, and you’ll see that some businesses offer a freebie when you show them your “I Voted” sticker.
It goes without saying these freebies shouldn’t be what makes you want to vote — though if that’s what it takes, then so be it. We’ll take it!
Our future is in your hands — and you can get your hands on some freebies at the same time!
Here are three companies that offer a treat with your voting sticker!
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts (nationwide)
Krispy Kreme is pretty famous for its voting perks. They are celebrating voters today (November 8) by giving out an original glazed donut. “On Tuesday, November 8th, we are encouraging you to get out and VOTE by offering our most iconic Original Glazed® doughnut for FREE in shop and drive-thru to all guests. So, swing by a participating shop on the way to or from your polls on Election Day and add a little extra joy to your day!” the official website statement reads.
Boomtown Brewery (Los Angeles, California)
Cheers to one of my favorite breweries! They offer 2 dollars off on voters’ first beers on Monday (November 7) and Tuesday (November 8).
“Tuesday is Election Day, and we’re counting on you to make our community better by participating. Yes, YOU. 🫵🏼 BIG Surprise — the ballot box 🗳 is the only place your voice actually matters, so ditch the IG comments and join us in making some real change,” they wrote online.
Kerbey Lane Cafe (Austin, Texas)
The locally-owned shop also offers a freebie with the sticker. They’re offering a free pancake in their nine Austin-owned restaurants. “Bring in your “I Voted” sticker on election day (November 8th) and enjoy a pancake on us at any of our locations! If you participate in early voting, please save your sticker to present to us on Election Day to redeem your pancake prize,” they wrote online.
